Worked up a little something from a progression I was playing around with. This clip shows me starting with a piano sound and building it up. Of course it was shot by @TREYSHOTYA!

Thoughts: Recreate Yourself

Don’t accept the roles that society foists on you. Re-create yourself by forging a new identity, one that commands attention and never bores the audience. Be the master of your own image rather than letting others define it for you. #evolve #scmg #dfmg #theglobalcool [photo credit: @treyshotya]

After 34 years of production, Mercedes-Benz will end the production of the G-Class Cabriolet (Convertible). Although we regret to report this news, the German car manufacturer is at least leaving the field with a bang – the G-Class Cabriolet Final Edition. Powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine with 388 hp and 540 Nm (398 lb ft) of torque, this beautiful version of the G-Wagon will see a run of only 200 units. Keeping things in perfect balance, the limited edition G-Class comes with a black metallic exterior and contrasting beige interior and roof. Timeless and classy, exactly how we like our cars. Unfortunately, it seems like the 200 units have already sold out. If you’re lucky, you can get your hands on one second hand.

Shoe Game: Converse Maison Martin Margiela Sneaker Collection

After several teasers we can finally show you the much anticipated collaboration between high-fashion label Maison Martin Margiela and iconic footwear brand Converse. Staying true to themselves, the two brands worked on the Chuck Taylor All Star and the Jack Purcell. The two sneakers were given the white paint treatment, which has become a signature for Maison Martin Margiela over the years. The sneakers have been dipped in paint, including the outer sole, eyelets and laces. Below the paint you’ll find a premium Converse sneaker with a colorful upper. As the paint slowly breaks off, the color underneath is revealed, allowing each sneaker to become utterly unique. The dialogue between the hidden colorful upper and the French fashion house’s signature white paint makes the collaboration special while allowing both brands to shine.

The sneakers will be available in four colorways: Crimson Red, Black, True Navy and exclusive for Margiela – Vintage Sunflower Yellow. As part of the Converse First String Collection, the Converse Maison Martin Margiela sneaker collection will release on September 20 and will be priced at 200 USD/200 Euros.

Serato Discontinues Scratch Live in Focus Towards Serato DJ

Laptop DJ heavyweights Serato launched Serato Scratch Live SSL over a decade ago, with it spearheading much of contemporary DJ’s set-up. The latest news from Serato announces that it’ll no longer provide updates to SSL, a software synonymous for its abilities to mix via the computer with loops and perks as a virtual DJ tool. Blending attributes from SSL with Serato DJ in the last few years has been difficult, and Serato has decided to let go of SSL in focus of Serato DJ — which in turn will incorporate SSL’s DVS technology, allowing both hands-on DJing and synched beat-matching, in addition to a more clean-cut interface. Serato will continue to provided technical support for SSL until 2015, while users will be able to upgrade to Serato DJ for free.
