Cocktails: Hot Toddy


Tis The Season… If you get sick, there’s nothing like a HOT TODDY…


Yield: 2 drinks

Glassware: Glass Mug


1.5 oz (45 ml) whiskey
12 oz (355 ml) of boiling water
Juice of 1/2 lemon
3 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp (5 ml) of black tea leaves
2-3 tablespoons (30 ml) honey


1. Bring the water, cinnamon and cloves to a boil.

2. When the water boils, remove the pan from the heat and add the tea. Cover with a lid and leave to infuse for a few minutes.

3. Meanwhile, smear two glasses with honey.

4. Pour the hot mixture into the glass. Add the lemon juice and whiskey and stir.
