Tyrese Gibson pays tribute to Teddy Pendergrass on George Lopez

I think people still sleep on my homie Tyrese with the singing. He is one of the last “soul men” left in the music biz. I don’t even think he realizes it. He killed this impromptu performance. I am looking forward to his Teddy Pendergrass film.

  1. You know I had to almost assault one of my sorority sisters this weekend because she had the audacity to ask why didn’t they pick a real singer to play Teddy P. I think people forget that Tyrese was a vocalist before he began acting. He has an amazing voice and I still remember him as the Coca-Cola boy on the bus lol. He is awesome and I wish that he would sing more…..people are going to wake up one day……like they did with Trey Songz

  2. I watched this episode last week and I kept hitting rewind (DVR svc). I remember him too as Mr Coca-Cola himself, LOL. I will NEVER forget that commercial. It’s sad that the industry has such a “short-term memory”. He should always deserve the utmost respect for not only his singing but acting career….but especially that voice of his….it makes me WEAK!
